This is a photo history of my home building project. Click on any picture for a better view. The goal is to build a small, efficient two bedroom home with low maintenance and low ecological impact. It's constructed of Insulated Composite Concrete Forms (ICCF), with hydronic heat in a slab on grade. The forms are a mixture of concrete and post-consumer recycled polystyrene. The property is waterfront acreage on Hood Canal in Washington state.
Above the wheelbarrow is a "bridge" that I made so that the hose wouldn't drag on the block as we moved around. I was ready with the wheelbarrow, buckets, shovels, extra grade stakes, sledge hammer, etc., none of which was needed.
