This is a photo history of my home building project. Click on any picture for a better view. The goal is to build a small, efficient two bedroom home with low maintenance and low ecological impact. It's constructed of Insulated Composite Concrete Forms (ICCF), with hydronic heat in a slab on grade. The forms are a mixture of concrete and post-consumer recycled polystyrene. The property is waterfront acreage on Hood Canal in Washington state.
Here's a good picture of how the fast footer bulges out. Not a drop came out of any of the seams, corners, overlaps, etc. You can see that a few of my vertical dowels got a little out of perpendicular, but those can be straightened a little as soon as the concrete cures.
