More roof framing
The main ridge gets a connector piece for the L ridge and valleys. Once again, the Genie Lift comes in handy.

Mushrooms
I did have time to pick some chantrelles. Here is what 3 1/2 gallons looks like. I'm canning them while updating the blog.
Framers on site
The main ridge board goes up with the help of the Genie Lift. You can see that it's been raining, of course.
Rafter calculations being made.

Top of the wall.
Here's a look down the wall, ready for the sill seal and plate. You can also see two of the five extra blocks. I don't have a way to get them out of the way right now.
Bucking the gable ends
I used the packing strapping again to hold the forms to the gable ends. I had to pour in lifts, so the form boards were placed higher as we went up each gable. The anchor bolts for the plate was already attached to the form board.
The top of the wall also had to have a board on it near the gable ends to keep the hydrostatic pressure from pushing concrete out.
Here's what it looks like finished. You can see the anchor bolts. I cleaned up a few places with the angle grinder and then used a water level on the wall. One spot was 1/8" low. That will keep me awake at night.

From Mayan to Tudor
Here's the sequence of cutting down the gables. I used an electric chain saw. Brand new, only used once, I can make you a deal.
